Hello Friends –

We're so excited about our gorgeous array of vibrant gifts in the store right now. The displays are magical. We have a small army of folks building beautiful things for you – and you'll only find them in our store. The amazing response to our offerings featured in Martha Stewart Living, Sunset, Dwell, and Better Homes & Gardens (among others!) has been overwhelming. The store is as cozy and friendly as ever, and the Ritual coffee never smells better than on a chilly day. Come see us and take your pick of presents for the people you love!

How Can You Resist These Cute Ornaments?

We know we can't. What are you waiting for? These tiny animals want to hang with you!

Leafy Notes

How's this for the perfect stocking-stuffer? Leaf-It is a sticky note in a leaf shape – a natural inspiration that we love. Leaf-It has got to be the best reinvention of the year, and a great gift for office-mates. Even better, you can easily enclose the slim package as a gift in a holiday card.

Desktop Gardening

Every productive day requires a spell of garden daydreaming. Gazing at a succulent nested in a lovely container is just the thing to please a friend. A tiny bud vase with a hand-cut sprig brings life to any room. Instead of more candy, or the proverbial fruitcake, wouldn't you just love for someone to give you one of these?

Lassi Cups

These extraordinary brass lassi cups are hand-crafted in India. Each is uniquely etched and patinated. Pair a small succulent and cup for a singular tabletop container garden for yourself or as a gift. The Lassi Cup also makes a beautiful vase for cut flowers. Come choose your favorite!

The Muse of Nature

My quest lately has been to share the muse of nature with anyone who will listen. These faux-bois containers, stone vases, and ceramic "pebble" vessels introduce an elemental power into our civilized surroundings, a timeless natural note. At the same time, their artistry renews my awe of human craft.

This Gift Sows Wildflowers

Seed balls, they're called, and while the 13-year-olds giggle at the name we marvel at this traditional method for sowing your valuable seeds in wads of clay that protect from hungry birds and increase your flowers' success. It's a carefree gift for a lazy gardener.

Stone Lights

Carved-rock candleholders are beautiful in the evening garden or as bold centerpieces for a feast table.

Give a Vertical Garden

How do these humble ingredients . . .

. . . become this fantastic gift?

It's easy, and the perfect choice for a vertical garden lover: Purchase one indoor Wally One ($56) and a $50 gift certificate for a lucky loved one, and they'll get all the plants and soil they need plus insight from our staff on planting for maximum beauty in their space. (Available in-store only.)

Check out how easy it is:

Think of how proud the recipient of your gift will be! The Wally One from Woolly Pockets makes vertical gardening a breeze because all kinds of plants love the environment Woolly Pockets provide .Don't you just love our Daniel's design? He's one of the talented folks here who can help your lucky recipient create their own garden.

Succulent Wreaths – Going Fast!

Every year we sell out of these intricate living wreaths before Christmas. Please come soon if you fancy one for yourself or to give.

Cordyline australis 'Torbay Dazzler'

Something about the green, white, and glowing colors of this variety of the New Zealand cabbage tree sparkles like the holidays. It's an incredibly durable plant that looks like a grass until it begins to grow a trunk. In containers, as a small tree, as massed foliage, in sun, in shade, in dry soils or wet, in coastal climates or inland, it's reliable and beautiful. The late-spring flowers smell good, too. We have a nice crop of these hardies in the store right now and they'll thrive whether you plant them now or wait for a warm spell.

Bay Area Garden Design Consultations

People inspired by visiting the nursery sometimes invite us to their gardens for advice on design and on plant choices. We love helping people create something new or refine an existing space. We offer garden design consultations in the nine Bay Area counties.

Our consultations make great gifts for folks in the Bay Area -- or a great kick-start for your own garden. Your loved ones will think of you each time they enjoy their new garden. You can purchase garden consultations on our Web Shop or in the store.

GIVE A GARDEN!

Garden Consultation Gift $300
During our visit we'll help rethink a space and give ideas for amazing, high-impact, durable plants suited to the microclimate. When the recipient of your gift comes into the nursery for continuing discussions about their garden, they'll have the advantage of our first-hand perspective.

Garden Starter Gift $1,200
In addition to an hour-long consultation anywhere in the Bay Area, your gift includes a $900 credit for use in the nursery, enough to create a beautiful terrace garden or freshen the public face of a city garden.

Garden Maker Gift $5,000
We'll collaborate on substantial garden-making, starting with a consultation in the garden and including a credit of $4700 for help on your garden projects large and small.

Of course, we're always excited to share our advice (for free!) here in the nursery and would love to hear from you by phone (415-626-7256) or email consult@floragrubb.com for help on your garden projects big and small.
