Allowed to grow unchecked in a relatively frost free area, Fuchsia boliviana can grow to 10 feet or so. It is so much fun, if you have the room in your garden, to allow a Fuchsia to grow supported by a tree or trellis, and to look up and see the flowers staring back at you from above. If you don’t have the room, prune the Fuchsia hard after it blooms to keep it a more compact size, and it will spring back quickly.
This is a completely mite resistant fuschia. Grow it in the shade, full sun only in cool neighborhoods.
