This is Aloe arborescens. Look at all of those flowers! This is a BIG plant, perfect for a slope or an area you want to neglect. Eventually, it could reach nine feet tall, and just as wide or more. In its native South Africa it's used as a living fence. I have seen this plant growing happily right near the ocean. It doesn't seem to mind the salt air. But it's also tough enough for hotter inland regions. And those nectar-rich flowers attract hummingbirds. Bonus: You can break open a leaf and use it just like Aloe vera.
