I am very fond of the upright types of Grevillea with the big flowers (rather than the much more common groundcover types with smaller flowers). They will make a nice dense screen if sheared, and grow pretty quickly. Or, you can train your Grevillea into a small tree and the trunk will become sculptural with age. Most Grevilleas have pink or red flowers. White flowering Grevilleas are rare, and only a few can be trees.
