This Privacy Policy explains how Grubb & Nadler, Inc., doing business as Flora Grubb Gardens ("Flora Grubb Gardens," "we," "us"), 1634 Jerrold Ave, San Francisco, CA 94124, collects, uses and shares personal information through floragrubb.com (the "Website") and when you email, call or text us. It does not cover websites we link to, which have their own policies.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

You can browse the Website without telling us who you are. We collect personal information when you give it to us, and some technical information automatically:

  • Information you give us. Your name, email address, mobile number, event or project details, and anything else you choose to send when you join our mailing list, fill out a form (such as the plant rentals request), or email, call or text us.
  • Payments. When you pay online, your card details go directly to our payment processor, Stripe. We receive a record of the payment, such as your name, email, amount and the last four digits of the card, but never your full card number.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours receives your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the site that sent you to us, and the date and time of your visit. We use cookies and similar technologies for this, as described below.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

  • To answer your questions and requests, and to arrange orders, pickups, deliveries and rentals.
  • To send you our newsletter and news about the stores, if you signed up for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To send you customer care text messages, if you agreed to receive them (see Text Messaging below).
  • To understand how the Website is used so we can improve it.
  • To keep the Website secure, prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations.

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about your visit. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with Google's browser add-on. Our mailing list provider, Klaviyo, also uses cookies to show sign-up forms and to see whether our emails are opened. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Website will still work.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for it, the Website does not respond to it. We do treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information.

HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We share it only:

  • With service providers who help us run the business and may use it only to provide their service to us: website hosting (Vercel), email and customer messages (Help Scout), our mailing list (Klaviyo), text messaging (Twilio), payments (Stripe), and analytics (Google).
  • When the law requires it, such as to respond to a subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, staff or business.
  • If the business changes hands, as part of a merger, sale or similar transaction, subject to this policy.

TEXT MESSAGING (SMS)

  • Grubb & Nadler, Inc., doing business as Flora Grubb Gardens, may text customers who give us their mobile number and agree to receive texts, about orders, pickups, deliveries and replies to their questions.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • You can reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
  • Mobile numbers and texting consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, such as to finish an order or answer a question, or as the law requires for records like payments. Then we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.

YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

  • Unsubscribe from our emails with the link at the bottom of any of them.
  • Stop texts by replying STOP.
  • Ask us what personal information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us below. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days.

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to ask us to delete or correct it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of it (we do not sell or share it); and not to be treated differently for using these rights. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. Under California's "Shine the Light" law, you may also ask whether we shared your information with third parties for their direct marketing; we do not.

CHILDREN

The Website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

SECURITY

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, and the Website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee it. Please don't send sensitive information, such as a full card number, by email or text.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make a significant change, we will tell you on the Website or by email.
