We are thrilled to be working with the Civic Joy Fund . Their Pop-up Town Squares project is part of the Green Street Fund, an initiative to nurture public spaces that connect San Francisco’s neighborhood villages. The pop-up Town Square project reveals fresh ideas for San Francisco’s streetscape and imagines new possibilities for the public realm. Learn more about Pop-Up Town Squares.
We enjoyed creating these temporary gardens so much, and had a blast with all the neighbors who came out to enjoy them. It is all part of our not-so-secret mission that our co-conspirator Alec Hawley of Fauvescraper Studio described this way:
"...to make SF the garden capital of the United States and turn every extraneous road into a beautiful space where people can grow, connect, and find joy."
500 plants, grown by us, transform a half block of asphalt into a verdant place to gather and connect.
