Protea and Leucospermum are low-maintenance, high-impact bloomers here in coastal California. Whether you've seen them at the Presidio Tunnel Tops Park, a neighbor's garden, or in a bouquet, these durable shrubs produce unique, long-lasting blooms. In addition to flower power, their evergreen foliage adds lovely texture and color to the garden.
Despite a slow start due to this year's chilly, wet spring, our farm-grown varieties are now primed for the wonderful late-summer and fall gardening weather ahead. Their incredible drought tolerance and toughness means they're ready to plant in diverse conditions, from cool fog to dry heat.
